In the Beginning, the First Cause moved and produced the Yang. When Yang moved as far as he could and rested, he produced the Yin. From the union of Yin and Yang, all things derive.

Reduce the many and see the Three. The Three is the child of First and Second. The Two consist of Yin and Yang. But before the Two, there was only the One.

Today, there is Light and there is Dark, but long ago before the darkness and the light, there was Void. The Void was not absence of everything, for in such an absence is a vacuum which cries out to be filled. Instead, the Void is neutral, standing between Being and Becoming, between Something and Nothing, between Acceptance and Rejection, without desire.

To know Harmony, seek the Void, not actively, not passively, but impassively. Hold fast to that conception, settle the Body, clear the Mind, gently open the Spirit, and Void will hear you call. It Is or it Is Not, and it must be coaxed, but ask and Void will come again and again until you are One. Open the door to your Soul, and if Void brings a Friend, make that friend yours also.
